Rhodes came into RSPCA care after Inspectors found him living alongside 10 other dogs and puppies in an industrial estate. It was clear the dogs were not receiving the care they needed, and all were surrendered to RSPCA.
Although Rhodes was underweight and suffering from skin irritation, it was his emotional state that was most heartbreaking. Our veterinary team described him as "shut down", meaning he was withdrawn, avoidant or depressed.
With time, patience and expert care, Rhodes slowly began to trust again. After months of rehabilitation, he was ready to find a loving home.
Today, Rhodes is thriving with a family who adore his funny personality and growing confidence. From a dog who was once fearful of the world around him, Rhodes has blossomed into a truly beloved companion.
